How to obtain the Ecoevents certification
Pre audit
Initial assessment aimed at understanding the compatibility of the event with the values and principles of the Ecoevents-Legambiente certification.

The Ecoevents team will provide event staff with the necessary skills to organize and manage an event in its various phases, applying sustainability principles.

Management manual
A formal document that gathers information about the organization producing the event, the policy, and the objectives to be pursued with a view to continuous improvement.

Systematic activity aimed at actively involving all parties interested in formulating the event’s sustainable strategy.

To which events does it apply?
The Ecoevents certification applies to any type of event: an initiative of particular importance characterized by a gathering of people, at a predetermined time, in a physical or virtual space, promoted by a specific entity, aimed at a certain audience, and of limited duration.
How much does it cost to get certified with Ecoevents?
The cost of certification is not standard and depends on several factors (e.g., the type and size of the event, the number of participants, the characteristics of the venue, etc.). To obtain a more accurate cost estimate, we invite you to contact us.
When is the certification issued?
Ecoactions is a certification that starts with a fiduciary agreement: it is issued, following the checklist, in advance to the interested party, provided that they commit to achieving (during the event) the goals it implies.
Can the certification be suspended?
The certification can be suspended in cases of manifest failure to achieve objectives, disengagement, or culpable negligence in respecting the rules and values subscribed to obtain it.
What is the duration of the certification?
Ecoevents is closely linked to the certified event and has a variable duration depending on the contract stipulated.
What is the difference with Ecoactions?
The Ecoactions certification is characterized by a lighter protocol, making it more appropriate for smaller events taking their first steps toward sustainability. The Ecoevents certification involves a more demanding protocol and is more suited for events that can implement more significant sustainable actions.
